Objectives, Activities, and Anticipated Outcomes

The "Route 25 - Agenda for Autonomous, Intelligent, Interoperable, and Inclusive Mobility" aims to leverage the research and development of groundbreaking technological solutions for autonomous, intelligent, interoperable, and inclusive mobility.

It seeks to establish a value chain within Portugal, focusing on high-intensity technology activities and territorial cohesion.

The project is projected to generate approximately EUR 80 million in sales and create 488 new jobs through eight Work Packages (WPs):

  • WP1: Assisted and Autonomous Driving for Safe Mobility
  • WP2: Digital Experience & Adaptive Connectivity for Cooperative Mobility
  • WP3: Connected Infrastructures for Resilient and Inclusive Cities
  • WP4: Intelligent Infrastructures for Low-Carbon Intercity Mobility
  • WP5: Large-Scale Demonstrators
  • WP6: Scientific and Technological Training
  • WP7: Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation
  • WP8: Route 25 Coordination

This project is strategically designed around key areas of intervention, with the goal of launching 47 innovative and groundbreaking Products, Processes, and Services (PPSs).

These PPSs are centered on enhanced assisted and autonomous driving for safer mobility, digital experiences for cooperative mobility, connected infrastructure for resilient and inclusive cities, and infrastructure solutions for low-carbon intercity mobility.

This is the only project that comprehensively addresses these critical areas and is equipped with interconnected and dependent PPSs, which are necessary to achieve the specified goals.

Nexar’s wholly-owned subsidiary, BE Inc., will develop an enhanced digital experience within the context of this project by introducing new features and improvements for its dashcams, software development kit, and cloud services. These enhancements will support real-time mapping, intelligent data networking, and the effective utilization of real-world data.
