June Update: Nexar’s Top Dashcam Videos from Last Month

NYC, we’re looking at you.

New York, New York: the city so nice, they named it twice. But sometimes it can be a bit messy on the roads. In June, jaywalkers racked our nerves, cars collided with bikes, and bikes collided with vans… and the cycle continued. NYC, we love you, but please don’t scare us like that in July!

So here they are in all their glory. Our top videos recorded by Nexar users in June:

1. Scattering like pigeons

Here’s something frightening — but not dangerous — to warm us up.

2. Dashcammer rear-ended by reversing van

In cases like this, the driver at fault could claim they were stopped, and that the dashcammer rear-ended them. It’s not unheard of — drivers have been known to lie. That’s why using a dashcam is important and could steer you clear of an undeserved lawsuit.

3. SUV turns on red

When a bus stops in the middle of an intersection and blocks visibility, one driver gambles on a left turn and loses badly. Our Facebook community had a lot to say about this one. You can head to our page and add your two cents to the discussion.

4. Bumper torn off during lane-change

A hefty fine and perhaps a boost in insurance premiums, but it looks like nobody got hurt in this one.

5. Biker takes a risk and pays the price

This cyclist was honest enough to admit fault after crossing in front of a vehicle with a green light. That’s not always the case when it comes to these situations.

6. One day in Manhattan

At this point, you may be saying to yourself, “Hey, that’s just 5 incidents spread over the whole month of June. Aren’t you being too hard on NYC?” Well, here’s a compilation of videos sent to us by Nexar users during just one day on June 2nd. Getting around those streets can sometimes be difficult, but we still ♥ NYC.
