Chicago, Get Ready: Nexar Is Headed Your Way
We love Chicago at Nexar. Several of our employees call the Windy City home, some of us dream of Portillo’s and there are passionate opinions about which deep dish reigns supreme: Giordano’s, Gino’s East or Lou Malnati’s. Now Chicago is getting a new addition: the Nexar safe driving network, which we are launching today by giving away 500 dash cams to the first Nexar users in the city. We are launching this network in Chicago because we are confident that Chicagoans are ready for a new reality on the road.
Why Chicago?
Nexar is used in more than 700 cities in 160 countries. In New York City, Nexar has seen a drastic positive change of driving habits among drivers who drive with our app and dash cam. We believe that drivers in cities around the world will eventually join our safe driving network, but we chose Chicago because the city and surrounding suburbs have a high concentration of cars and the city is a regional hub to which a large number of drivers commute on a daily basis. To be more precise, Chicago has the longest commute of any major city in the US. Commuters in Chicago spend on average 64.8 minutes every day on the road and are constantly exposed to the dangers of unsafe, bad driving.
How do I join?
Are you interested in being part of a safe driving revolution in Chicago? If the answer is yes, you’re invited to get a free Nexar-ready dash cam! The first 500 Chicagoans will get a full rebate on the Nexar-compatible dash cam (all you have to do is download our app, pair it to the dash cam and drive 3 times with the dash cam and app, for at least 5 miles per drive). Click here to get started — it’s that easy.
Why are you giving away 500 cameras to Chicagoans?
Our mission is to build a safe driving community made up of drivers who use Nexar and who share and receive real time information about the road ahead.
As the Nexar community grows, you will get more features that will make the Chicago commute safer and less stressful. More than 1,000 people died in car crashes in Illinois in 2016; we believe the time has come to fight this trend. This is why we are giving away cameras — we want to build this network in Chicago starting now.
